Day 12

Today I am thankful for being a STAY AT HOME MOM! I realize I mentioned this in the one about Mitch's work but I feel it deserves its very own post.
My whole life I earned to be a mother. I have always been a mother to everyone around me. This I am aware of. When my parents brought home my sister from the hospital, I held her and asked my mom if we could pretend she was both of ours. I remember that day and the amazement I felt at that little life.
I started working when I was 17. I have had a few jobs, Dairy Twin employee, making fast food and ice cream,
worked for a newspaper stuffing ads, I worked as a Bail Bondsmen for one whole day, I worked at Bath and Body works and I hosted at Ruth's dinner for a short time. I started working for State Farm insurance when I graduated High School and that was my main job for 10 plus years in sales or management. When I had Fisher staying home was a HUGE adjustment, I totally missed the social life I had at the office. I felt so out of it. That my life only encompassed things like what was on Oprah that day. But as time went on, I grew into the stay home mom. I have worked on and off part time since the kids have been born but I have not worked in the last year at all.
Today, Bailey and I were able to have some alone time shopping at Walmart. I love being with my kids. I enjoy them and they fill me with so much joy. Of course I have struggles with them and I raise my voice and I need my time away. All of the normal mom stuff. But today I am focusing on the blessing it is in my life to be able to be at home with them. Fisher and Bailey are off track and it allows me to have more time with them and I love it.
I am so thankful to be able to be at home with my kids and give them all the love and attention I can. I am so blessed.

The Dino Museum

I think Chason looks scarier then the Dino

Another scary Chason

On Monday, all three kids did not have school. So we decided to do something fun. We picked up Dad from work and headed to the Museum of Ancient Life. Chason has been enjoying a new PBS show called Dinosaur Train, so we have been talking a lot about Dinosaurs in our home. We have this great museum not far from us but we have not been in years. So we all were able to go as a family. It as a lot of fun. It was expensive but Mitch thought it was well worth it. There was so much to see and do. It was fun just getting to be with the family and have a nice adventure.

Day 11

Today I am thankful to live in a free country. Today is veterans day and I am thankful also for all the men and women that have served in the military to keep our country free.
I do so enjoy the freedoms that come with living in the United States of American.

Day 10

So Today I am struggling a little as to which item to pick.
First I wanted to say that I am thankful for my trails that make me stronger. I also wanted to say I am thankful for the gifts and talents that I have. The reason for these two is that I like to help others. I like to be there for others and lift them up. My experiences have helped me to be able to do this from time to time. My trials have made me stronger and at times I did not think I would make it through them. I know use those experiences to try to lift the burdens of others. I do not have gifts that include things like being musical. I am a self proclaimed " CRAFT CHALLENGED" person. I am not crafty. There are many outward gifts that I do not posses. But I do posses many gifts to do with the heart. I have the gift of loving others. I have the gift of being able to smile and make people feel loved. I have the gift of trying to see things on the positive side and I have the gift of hope.
So I will not go on and on about all my wonderful gifts, ha ha
I just wanted to be thankful today for the gifts my Father in Heaven has blessed me with. I do have a thankful heart.

Day 9 of my thankful heart

This morning I am thankful for Mitch's good job. Mitch has an amazing job. We love Mitch's job for many reasons.
1) It provides for our family
2) Allows me to stay home with our Children and not have to worry about going to work.
3) It is flexible
4) His boss is a former Bishop and supports the importance of FAMILY
5)Mitch gets to use his amazing talents as an artist. He gets to create things and we are so proud of him and his talent
6) He works with good people that he has been working with for over 11 years
7) He has a nice office to work in that is not too far from home.

And on and on. I am thankful Mitchell has this amazing job to go to each day. As with any job, it comes with stress at times. But it benefits always out way the down side.
I can see Mitch working at Rhodes until he retires or the doors shut. It is such a comfort to know that as long as Mitch is able to work, he will have a job. I know the owner would always take care of us as he always has.
Mitch got this job when he was a student and happened to go in to print something as our dear friend Mindy has been working there for 19 years. Someone saw his talent and offered him a job. WOW we are so blessed.
I know that many of you are struggling with employment and for this my heart does go out to you. I am so sorry.
My heart is full today and there is a smile on my face.
My children are all home and we are going to go have fun together.

Day 8 Thankfulness

Today being Sunday, is a great reminder that I am so thankful for the Gospel Of Jesus Christ in my life. I am thankful for the knowledge I have that Christ lives and died for our sins. That Father in Heaven listens and answers our prayers. I am thankful for the testimony I have. I am thankful for all the blesses that the Lord has blessed me with. I am so blessed. I have so many blessings in my life I could be here all night listing them. I love this Gospel, I know it is true. The Gospel is so important in my life and always has been. I would not be the person I am today without the Gospel in my life. I am thankful to the Savior for carrying me through this life when I could not do it myself.
I am thankful to my Father in Heaven for all that I have and all that I am.

Day 7

Today I am going to simply say:
I am thankful for Health Insurance and Medical Professionals.
We are so blessed to have Health Insurance. So many people have to pay for their Health Insurance and since we participate in a health and wellness program at Mitch's work, we do not have to pay for our health Insurance.
I saw 2 doctors this week and I am thankful for that opportunity.
No worries, nothing is wrong.
