Today I am thankful for being a STAY AT HOME MOM! I realize I mentioned this in the one about Mitch's work but I feel it deserves its very own post.
My whole life I earned to be a mother. I have always been a mother to everyone around me. This I am aware of. When my parents brought home my sister from the hospital, I held her and asked my mom if we could pretend she was both of ours. I remember that day and the amazement I felt at that little life.
I started working when I was 17. I have had a few jobs, Dairy Twin employee, making fast food and ice cream,
worked for a newspaper stuffing ads, I worked as a Bail Bondsmen for one whole day, I worked at Bath and Body works and I hosted at Ruth's dinner for a short time. I started working for State Farm insurance when I graduated High School and that was my main job for 10 plus years in sales or management. When I had Fisher staying home was a HUGE adjustment, I totally missed the social life I had at the office. I felt so out of it. That my life only encompassed things like what was on Oprah that day. But as time went on, I grew into the stay home mom. I have worked on and off part time since the kids have been born but I have not worked in the last year at all.
Today, Bailey and I were able to have some alone time shopping at Walmart. I love being with my kids. I enjoy them and they fill me with so much joy. Of course I have struggles with them and I raise my voice and I need my time away. All of the normal mom stuff. But today I am focusing on the blessing it is in my life to be able to be at home with them. Fisher and Bailey are off track and it allows me to have more time with them and I love it.
I am so thankful to be able to be at home with my kids and give them all the love and attention I can. I am so blessed.
